My Mom is named Lake County teacher of the year!
Written by admin on June 11, 2011 – 12:42 pm -A few weeks ago, we found out that my mom had been named Lake County School district teacher of the year . The Lake County Record-bee had a nice write up about her winning in the paper, but it wasn’t as long as I thought it should be. I thought it was going to be a full page write up. I guess will just chalk this up to another editor missing the lead story. Here are a few of my choice snippets from the article.
Lake County Office of Education has completed the selection process for the 2011-12 Teacher of the Year and has chosen Marilyn Grock, teacher to students with severe disabilities and early intervention specialist from Kelseyville Unified School District as the honoree. Grock was selected from candidates representing six of the seven Lake County school districts.
Grock, the 2011-12 Lake County Teacher of the Year, has served Kelseyville Unified School District for the past decade. Enrico Frediani, principal at Kelseyville Elementary, said, “Without exaggeration, the services and early intervention provided by Mrs. Grock and her staff at times changes the entire educational and life trajectory of her students.”
